Bakesmith Bakery is an initiative of Greenthumb that is also meant to benefit both the youth members of the group, the community as well as vulnerable members of the community. In this project, Bakesmith Bakery produce breads, alongside other pastries for sale to the community members at a low price. Currently Bakesmith Bakers produces white, brown and specialty breads with the later being on order by specific customers. 

This project is used to mainatain and support an organization for children with intellectual disabilities - Malaika based in Nakuru. 

It also provides employment for a number of youth, which is meant to grown as the project expands.
